Co2 Fire Extinguishers
CO2 fire extinguishers are filled with carbon dioxide gas under high pressure. When the extinguisher is discharged, the CO2 gas expands and cools, forming a cloud of “snow” that smothers the fire. - Sweep the extinguisher back and forth until the fire is extinguished.
- Never use a CO2 fire extinguisher on a fire that is larger than the extinguisher rating.
